The Irish Aviation Authority recently invited SUAS to participate in the International Civil Aviation Organization workshop on the integration of commercial space operators (CSO) in the North Atlantic region. Hosted at the EUR/NAT office in Paris, the workshop was held on 13-14 May 2024.
The workshop provided a valuable platform for dialogue on integrating new entrants into the North Atlantic region safely, efficiently, and sustainably. With a lack of globally harmonized guidance on CSO airspace integration, this event highlighted the need for regional and inter-regional harmonization efforts, which the North Atlantic area can pioneer with a significant number of spaceport projects both planned and underway, using the airspace of a range of countries.
