SUAS Aerospace is seeking a Project Manager to work in a collaborative start up environment with a small, dedicated team. Headquartered in Ireland at the National Space Centre (Elfordstown Earthstation), this is a full-time, fully remote role open to applicants world-wide.
Responsibilities
- Technical assessment of rocket engine testing and spaceport installations. Including scoping infrastructure for both sites to support current market needs, assessing site suitability from a flight safety and explosive safety standpoint.
- Regulatory analysis for rocket engine test site and spaceport installations. Ensuring site and concept compliance with national regulations as well as international standards
- Engaging with stakeholder involved in both sites; local authorities, national regulators, land owners, suppliers, customers, and contractors
- Management of European and national collaborative, and SUAS’ own projects
- Proposal writing for national and international grants
- Support of SUAS team on commercial, communications and other managerial tasks
Qualifications
- Qualification in aerospace engineering, or degree in engineering with experience in air/space domain
- Qualification in or demonstrated experience at the helm of a recognised Project Management framework
- Knowledge of rocket launch systems, spaceport ground systems, and rocket engine testing systems
- Experience working with microlauncher systems, flight safety, or engine testing is advantageous
- Knowledge of ASTOS and other flight safety tools desirable as well as CAD software packages
- Strong problem solving attitude, open to working on a wide range of tasks, self organising and supporting other team members
- Passionate about establishing a greater upstream space sector in Ireland serving the European market.
- Fluent oral and written English skills (all day-to-day activities are performed in English)
